Call a spade a spade
*RIP KATE SPADE Dec 1962-Jun 2018*
Im sure you've all heard the news about Kate Spade by now. She was fashion icon to some, and perhaps a total stranger to others. But she was a human being nonetheless. A human being who at the PEAK of her career ended her own life.
As I think of all the items I've seen with her name engraved on it from books to bags to shoes, to scarves I cant help but wonder if anyone had ever shared the gospel with her and taught her the importance of having the Greatest Name engraved on the tablet of her heart.
With all the types of people we get to meet within the fashion industry, and the amazing things we get to do, to discredit the One who has granted us those opportunities breaks my heart in more ways than one.
Let us always remember that the joy we have in Christ is not to be kept only to ourselves. But it is meant to be shared. What would our lives be like had someone not shared the Word of Truth with us?
All that to say, you never know what someone may be going through, or what battle they're facing within.
But God's love does what we can't. It casts out torment. Check on the people in your life who seem to have it altogether. Send them a text, give them a hug, write them a card. And at any spirit-led opportunity you have, share the gospel. Its the power of God unto salvation. Which brings eternal life.
The Just Live by Faith
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”
Every single day, Not Just Sunday.
